About Us
Midwest Geospatial Academy (MGA) is a newly formed college to provide education for the surveying profession. Our launch surveying coursework beginning August 26, 2024 is Surveying I, a hybrid course and these fully online courses: Land Records: Researching and Using; and the new fifth course, Elements of Surveying Practice. The courses have all been reviewed and approved as acceptable educational content for land surveying licensure by the Land Surveying Division of the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Professional Landscape Architects (APEPLSPLA).
For Spring 2025, MGA will offer Surveying II, a hybrid course, and fully online: Legal Aspects of Boundary Surveying.
Go to Admissions in the menu and fill out the form to be taken to our applications process. If you want to begin with SUR201, you can be enrolled quickly, although we request a copy of your H.S. transcript. If you have taken some surveying courses, be sure to upload a copy of your transcript. (Hint: apply for your official transcript to be sent to us to make it official.)
Supporters and Donors: when we formally achieve tax-exempt status, we will be soliciting for tax-deductible donations to build our start-up capital. No amount is too small. Watch for periodic updates, including when our tax-exempt status has been granted.
Discounts for tuition pre-payment: Pre-pay to help us build up some start-up capital! See the details in the collapsed block on the homepage for the current cutoff dates. Just send us a note via info@geospatialacademy.us and we can tell you how to set it up online or send us a check with a paper note to MGA, Pre-payment, PO Box 22453, Kansas City, MO 64113.
